The web service

Zero to Chef LLC provides an AI-assisted cooking service at app.zerotochef.com. These terms govern that web service and web subscriptions purchased from Zero to Chef through Stripe. A purchase through an app marketplace is governed by the billing terms presented there; a web subscription does not automatically promise access through an unreleased phone app.

The web service is intended for adult account holders. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Simply visiting a page or completing onboarding does not authorize a subscription charge.

Kai is an AI assistant, not a human chef, physician, dietitian, or allergist. Suggestions may be incomplete or incorrect. Review recipes, check product labels and allergens, prevent cross-contact, follow safe food-handling practices, and supervise children. Do not rely on the service for emergency, medical, or allergy-safety decisions.

Seven days free, then monthly renewal

Eligible new subscribers receive seven days of free access after completing checkout. A payment method is required. Before confirming, checkout displays your trial end date, the first billing date, the recurring price, and any applicable taxes.

Unless you cancel before the displayed trial end time, your subscription automatically becomes a paid subscription at US$19.99 per month, plus any applicable taxes disclosed at checkout. It then renews automatically each month until canceled. By confirming the subscription, you authorize these recurring charges to your selected payment method.

A free trial is available once per account. Starting another chat, signing out, changing devices, or returning after cancellation does not create another trial. Completing onboarding alone does not begin a trial or authorize a charge.

We provide confirmation of your subscription and billing notices required for your subscription and location. If we change the recurring price or other material billing terms, we notify you before the change applies and obtain any consent required by law.

Canceling and managing billing

You may cancel online through Manage subscription in your web account, which opens the billing portal. Cancel before your trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge. Cancel before your next renewal to avoid the next monthly charge.

Cancellation through the billing portal takes effect at the end of the current trial or paid billing period, and you retain access until then. Cancellation stops future renewal; it does not itself delete your account or saved recipes. For help with immediate termination or account deletion, contact support@zerotochef.com.

For billing questions or refund requests, contact support@zerotochef.com. Nothing in these terms limits refund, cancellation, or other consumer rights that apply by law. Online cancellation does not require contacting support or completing a survey.

Friends-and-family access

An eligible friends-and-family code grants permanent complimentary web membership for US$0, with no payment method and no scheduled conversion to a paid subscription. A code may have a redemption deadline; that deadline does not limit membership after successful redemption.

Each code may be redeemed once and is intended for the person with whom it was shared, not for resale. Codes may be revoked before redemption. Complimentary access remains subject to acceptable-use rules and service availability; it does not promise that the business will operate forever or include separate future products.

Accounts, content, and acceptable use

Provide accurate information and protect your credentials. Do not access another person's account, disrupt the service, or upload unlawful or infringing material. Only provide household information and content you have permission to use.

You retain rights you hold in content you provide. You authorize the processing necessary to store, generate, display, or share content through the features you choose. Zero to Chef's branding, software, and original materials remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Stripe processes web payments. Zero to Chef receives billing identifiers and subscription status needed to manage access; card entry takes place through Stripe rather than in Kai chat. Our Privacy Policy explains how account, cooking, household, and billing information is handled.

Availability and your rights

The service is provided on an as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free AI output, or suitability of a recipe for a particular person. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
